Elopement in Madrid: tenderness and intimacy in the heart of Spain

How we organised a elopement wedding for Alexander and Anita at the boutique hotel in Madrid in just 1 month.

A elopement wedding is suitable for those couples who prefer a more intimate, personalised wedding. It allows the newlyweds to enjoy a special moment surrounded by loved ones.

We organised a recent chamber wedding for Alexander and Anita from Benidorm in Madrid in just over a month. Most of the guests came from Russia and other European countries.

The newlyweds chose a hotel near Atocha as the venue for their chamber wedding, with a cosy and air-conditioned indoor venue where guests enjoyed beautiful views of the city. The ceremony was held on the outdoor terrace of the hotel.

The atmosphere was imbued with romance thanks to the wooden arch decorated with delicate fresh flowers in white shades. The table was also decorated with delicate roses.

We preserve cultural traditions, organise chamber weddings taking into account the wishes of the newlyweds and a champagne fountain for Alexander and Anita

When guests from different countries attend the wedding, we preserve cultural traditions. Since Alexander and Anita’s wedding had mostly Russian guests, we did not do without a host. He conducted a chamber wedding from start to finish, having agreed the script with the newlyweds in advance. The contests were chosen taking into account their wishes.

One of the special moments was the champagne fountain. The newlyweds were inspired by this idea from their friends and really wanted to implement it at their wedding. We were happy to add a touch of luxury and festivity.

American trend for first-look photography. What is it and why do you need it at a chamber wedding?

Professional photographer and videographer worked at the chamber wedding of Alexander and Anita. The photographer started shooting directly at the hotel where the newlyweds stayed. For the wedding night our couple decided to choose another hotel. From there are very gorgeous views.

We offered to do a First-look photo session, when the groom sees the bride for the first time. By the way, it is very popular in America now. The groom becomes back to the photographer and waits for the bride. He turns round. And this look, as he sees her for the first time, cannot be described in words. It is important to preserve this unique moment forever.

Note separately that First-look photos should be taken before the ceremony. Because when the bride already walks down the aisle, there are completely different emotions.

Connecting two worlds. How we combined Russian and Spanish customs at the chamber wedding of Alexander and Anita.

When we organise a wedding in Spain and the young people or guests come from Russia, they want to add their cultural habits and get to know the local Spanish traditions.

In Spain they bring out tea or coffee only after the dessert is finished. For Russians it is strange to sit with a cake and wait for your tea or coffee. You can wait for a very long time. Waiters, on the contrary: they wait for guests to eat sweets to bring hot drinks.

Appetisers in Spain are relegated to bandejas. Waiters pass by the guests, someone takes it if they like the appetiser. If they don’t like it, they take the treat from the next person. The table is usually always empty. There are no drinks or appetisers. When guests sit down to dinner, the waiters bring out one dish and wait for the guests to eat their portion. Then they take the empty plate away, replacing it with the next course.

At the chamber wedding of Alexander and Anita we discussed such moments in advance. We asked the waiters to bring dessert and drinks at the same time. To make it comfortable for the Russian guests, we put some appetisers and a few bottles of wine on the table, and the waiters brought the other drinks.

The role of a wedding organiser is to know all the finer points to prevent uncomfortable situations. We, wedding planners, are ready to make dreams come true.
