Madrid, the multicultural, tolerant and modern city celebrates each year the Pride week at the beginning of each summer, thus coinciding in this way with the International Day of Pride, the 28th of June, which gathers every year almost 2 millions of people all over the world, since it is the LGBTIQA+ event (gathering Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transsexuals, Intersexuals, Queers and Asexuals) of the whole European continent.

The Gay Pride’s party in Madrid is a day long awaited by a large amount of people who seek to go out on streets in order to manifest and enjoy a large variety of activities as a way to continue fighting for their rights.

The capital is a symbol for this community as well as the barrio de Chueca, since the streets of this neighbourhood are next to the ones of Malasaña, Las Letras and Lavapiés which are filled with color, flags, garlands and stages so that everyone can enjoy the happiness and the claim of gay pride atmosphere.

It is in Chueca’s neighbourhood that everything first appeared when years ago expert places started to open in the LGTBI collective, among fashion shops, bars and restaurants, terraces full of animation both days and nights, galleries and even libraries in order to enjoy an environment free of social exclusion and prejudices, promoting love and respect for everyone.

However, what drags a lot of people is the demonstration which goes from Atocha to Colón, the main event of the week where is celebrated the pride and brings many carriages, music, colors and unusual clothing which creates a festive and entertaining atmosphere.

Something that is also full of color and partying is Madrid’s Attraction Park where everyone can enjoy an inclusive environment. That being said, have you thought of how could be organized your wedding in the middle of the Pride Week?
