Cortal Gran castle

History

Cortal Gran is a magnificent family house in Girona, Catalonia. In the 80s and until 2000 it suffered a great restoration process to turn it into a nice family home.

The history of this venue begins in 1365, when el Señorío de Sant Pere Pescador, which included the town’s castle, was granted to the Caramany family. Later, in the XV century, Cortal Gran Castle was built in the center of the estate as a fortress.

Currently, its owner is Juan Granada de Caramany, who was in charge of the restoration. Since 2011 it has become an exclusive venue for weddings and events.

Weddings and Events

Cortal Gran is a unique place to celebrate weddings and events for up to 300 guests, since it has many spaces that will suit your needs.

Courtyard

Cortal Gran has a beautiful XV century courtyard where you can celebrate a nice civil ceremony or cocktail party.

Greenhouse

One of its most magical places is the greenhouse located in its gardens, built in iron and glass and with a great natural light.

The main arch

This reception room is perfect for placing the sitting plan, the phococall, welcoming your guests or even organize the ceremony.

Interior saloon

This room takes its name because of its 3 arches. It is perfect for large banquets and has great natural light.

The big porch

This magnificent porch has a capacity for 300 people and is fully connected to the garden. Ideal for the banquet or chill out area.

The disco

This lounge has a large window connected to the garden and here you can celebrate a great party.

Last but not least, Cortal Gran has 20,000 m2 of gardens with different corners such as the palm trees, the pool or the greenhouse, perfectly prepared for anything you can imagine: an outdoor banquet, a cocktail, a concert, etc.
