Design hotels, Galician manor houses, seaside venues… you won’t know which venue to choose! And we can tell you that they all have something in common: they are unique and exclusive.

A Coruña, Lugo, Ourense and Pontevedra offer amazing and unique wedding venues, we could not choose a province! Each and every one of them has a different charm.

It’s time for you to get to know the wedding venues in Galicia to leave all your guests speechless!

But first… Why choose Galicia for my wedding?

Weddings in Galicia mean that all couples can celebrate their wedding amidst lively forests, meigas, saltpetre and long digestion with a taste of crema de orujo and filloas. And the fact is that this land so ‘riquiña’ has everything for brides and grooms of all kinds.

Galicia boasts dreamlike natural landscapes, with almost 2,000 kilometres of beaches, many of which are rated as the best in the world, such as Playa de las Catedrales in Ribadeo, Cape Finisterre and the Cíes Islands. The inland tourism is also spectacular, with its immense green valleys, dotted with picturesque villages.

Its artistic wealth is immeasurable, with the Tower of Hercules in La Coruña, the walls of Lugo and, of course, Santiago de Compostela, a World Heritage Site. In addition, in the mountains there are natural biosphere reserves and half a dozen natural parks.

In addition, Galicia has a mild climate, great for weddings at any time of the year as it is neither too cold nor too hot. Thanks to these mild temperatures, the fields remain green and the sun’s rays do not burn.

Coastal landscapes surrounded by breathtaking cliffs, paradisiacal beaches, magical villages, historic cities, finger-licking gastronomy, waterfalls, canyons… With these settings, what couple wouldn’t want to look for wedding venues in Galicia?

Spaces for an intimate wedding in Galicia

More and more brides and grooms prefer to avoid traditional and formal weddings and have only the most important people for the couple to share this unique moment in a more intimate and cosy way.

The cost of the wedding is much more economical, as having fewer guests means that you can invest the money that a wedding full of guests would cost in an intimate wedding venue in Galicia, for example:

1. Rectoral de Cines

This is a rural tourism establishment located in Oza-Cesuras, 10 minutes by car from Betanzos and 20 minutes from A Coruña, which is located in the countryside and in a space of great historical value, as it is an old restored monastery that is located in the surroundings of the Church of San Nicolás de Cines.

A beautiful building totally restored and adapted to enjoy such a special day. Gardens, gazebos, patios, corners of extreme beauty in a green and welcoming environment.

Its two dining rooms, its social lounge and the cloister make it easy to hold all kinds of events or meetings. And for a perfect end to the day, 10 wonderful rooms with all the comforts.

The 10,000 m2 estate surrounded by the Sar River has a multitude of charming corners: a magical bamboo forest for the cocktail or ceremony, lush gardens with native trees and terraces surrounded by the freshness of nature.

The bride and groom can choose between three romantic suites. All of them are different, combining art and decoration with wallpaper and stone, resulting in a unique space for the bridal ritual.

The Rectoral de Cobres 1729 is located in Vilaboa, Pontevedra. It is a ‘charming hotel’ in which its owners have put all their enthusiasm into making it a special place where every stay is unforgettable. It is an old Rectoral, dating from 1729, located on a hill that offers wonderful views over the bottom of the Vigo estuary, right on the historic Rande Strait.

To this landscape full of history, we must add the art contained in the Rectoral itself and its ‘paneira’, with a floor plan of 150 square metres, which has now changed its function of storing grain for that of hosting all kinds of celebrations.

They therefore offer the possibility of holding wedding banquets and civil ceremonies in their facilities and accommodation in their 8 refurbished, restored and furnished rooms, seeking to combine the comforts demanded by a 21st century traveller with all the charm of that 18th century Galician rural architecture.
