The couple we present to you today had a clear idea that they wanted a wedding in Tenerife in the middle of the forest and in a quiet place where they could spend a few days with family and friends.
Dani and Deborah are colleagues in the industry, as she is a wedding photographer and he is a talented videographer on the island, both have been in the business for years so, with their extensive experience, their wedding was not going to be anything conventional.
The bride and groom had the wedding they had always wanted: in the middle of the forest, at the foot of the Teide, among teepees, flowers, fairytale lighting… The emotion, joy, energy and happiness were pure.
The most curious thing is that the big day didn’t start like any other wedding, they reversed the moments of the wedding and started with what is usually done at the end, and at the beginning… the last thing! What are we talking about? Read on and find out!
Don’t forget to take ideas from this unique forest wedding.
The “I do” in Tenerife
Nothing could go wrong if the wedding took place in the middle of a forest, at the foot of Mount Teide and in the middle of nowhere. Everyone felt like they were in Canada!
It was an open space surrounded only by vegetation, bush and canary pine of the most intense green colour that anyone can imagine.
The Finca Don Leandro, the place chosen for the wedding in Tenerife, was located in this authentic oasis in the middle of nature and at an altitude of almost 1,500 metres above sea level!
With more than 350,000 square metres of impressive exteriors with gardens, forest and terrace areas, the Don Leandro estate also has an open porch inside, all of it glazed, with large, bright windows.
In this old family farm converted into one of the most unique spaces on the island you will find horses, cows, sheep, chickens… and fruit trees.
It is worth noting that the decoration of the place is full of very local materials, with pieces of wood and wrought iron, which gives it an even more charming touch.
And the fact is that Tenerife is bathed in film beaches, mild temperatures, dreamlike nature, charming villages, dolphins, multiculturalism… Still don’t know why you should choose Tenerife for your destination wedding?
A wedding in reverse
Yes, times happened backwards. At this wedding the groom received the guests and it all started with the wedding dance with live music, where everyone could start dancing, eating, drinking and talking to get their nerves out of the way.
After filling their stomachs, the couple said “I do” in a beautiful ceremony, and then everyone continued eating, drinking, playing… until a super party until late at night by the best of the parties: La Maldita Dj.
A cocktail-style wedding in the purest Coachella style!
The teepees, the main protagonists
This wedding looked like a tribal wedding! The bride and groom wanted a tipi, but they wanted it to be giant, natural and in the countryside, and that’s what they got! These were decorated with floral arrangements to give it an even more charming touch, as well as romantic little lights.
The great thing about tipis is that they transport the guests to another place, they create a cosy, unusual and very original atmosphere, perfect for weddings in the forest!
The fairytale lighting was provided by Proevento, who hung a lot of light bulbs from anywhere, even in the most unusual and complicated places in the world.
Vintage and harmonious floral decoration
The beautiful bouquet and floral decoration was the work of Nortyflor, who created very vintage floral arrangements with eucalyptus leaves combined with branches and white flowers of different sizes.
A cocktail-style banquet
The banquet tables were made of pure wood, as were the chairs, although as it was an informal cocktail-style wedding, the bride and groom also chose to set up different chill-out areas where the guests could also sit and have a bite to eat.
In these areas there were giant carpets, wooden tables, floral arrangements, cushions, green vases with flowers….
The atmosphere was inviting to try everything! From the pata negra ham, to the cheese table, or the specialities served in the food truck.
Two dreamy outfits
For her wedding in Tenerife, the bride wore a dress by Marco y María. It was straight cut, flowing, with tulle and lots of embroidery and transparencies. A dress with a vintage air and full of fantasy and romanticism, full of fabrics and embroideries of exclusive design and great quality.
The bride accompanied her dress with two headdresses for different moments. The headdress by Martina Dorta, composed of jewels as a crown for the first moment, and then changed for a headdress full of feathers by the firm Verbena Madrid.
For his big day, the groom opted for a navy blue suit with a white shirt, black braces and a blue patterned tie. As shoes, he wore a pair of modern loafers.
Video and photographs tattooed in his memory
Made in video was the videographer of this wedding and Juanlu Rojano was in charge of the photo shoot of the big day, which was accompanied by the photographer Miguel Barreto, achieving both as a result a spectacular video and beautiful narrative and documentary photographs.
In addition, they managed to capture all the emotions and all the details of the most important day of Deborah and Dani’s life.
