Lewis Carroll’s famous novel has been passed down from generation to generation, and has become a favourite of all those who read it, or who have seen the film; all the way to wanting to celebrate an Alice in Wonderland themed birthday party!
Therefore, in this article, we’ll give you loads of ideas for you to celebrate your child’s birthday in full Alice style, which will make them feel as though they are among the novels’ pages, sharing special moments alongside the White Rabbit, The Mad Hatter or The Cheshire Cat, among many others.

The Perfect Place
This famous story doesn’t happen in a simple and classic place, but in a world of magic and fantasy, so we couldn’t think of any better place than Giraluna Children’s farm, a place to transport the little ones into nature.
The farm is located in Brunete, 20km from the centre of Madrid, nestled in a wonderful mediterranean forest next to the Regional Park and Guadarrama river.
And why is this the perfect place for this themed birthday party? Well, because it looks exactly like something taken out of the pages of Alice in Wonderland, as it has 5 giant mushrooms where the children can play or do workshops related to the story: baking, magic shows, storytelling etc…
The birthday will be such a fun experience!
Real Characters? Yes Please!
Imagine the little ones faces when they see their favourite fairytale or film character on the day of their party, they’ll be amazed!
And no wonder, because when does this ever happen in life? The full body costumes are completely themed with a character and are used by the entertainers along with dances and games, entertain the little ones, and fill any kind of childrens party with fun and laughter.
Thanks to Zumo Animations, the kids at the Alice and Wonderland party were able to enjoy the baddies of the story dressed up to entertain, the Red Queen and the Cheshire Cat.

Decorations everywhere
As you can see in the photos, the main colours for the decorations were all of them! The white and pastel blue are the colours of Alice, the oranges are Tweedledum and Tweedledee, the red is for the Red Queen, black for the cat, greens for the Mad Hatter…
But what about the decorations? Read on and we’ll tell you the ones you can’t miss!
Clocks to not be late, one of the main elements of the story is clocks, so these have to be a part of your decoration. Use wind-up clocks hanging around the room, on the sweet table, drawn as decoration on the chairs, scattered on the floor, anywhere you can think of!
Cups everywhere, because we need to remember tea time, so use this main element on the table so your little guests can use them, and they’re great decoration! Use all the cups and teapots you can, the colour and shape don’t matter, after all, we are at the craziest celebration!
Food! Mmmm….
What’s a party without food? Especially an Alice in Wonderland party, where sweets are the protagonists…
That’s why you should have a big cake, like this one from Pastel Chic Madrid made of fondant and decorated with all the main characters.
And during the day, place some biscuits in the shape of cards, clocks and chess pieces on the snack table, and you can’t forget the famous ‘Eat me’ cake or the little ‘Drink me’ bottles! Your little guests will undoubtedly be tempted!
