First, let’s take a look at the general conditions and documents required to get married in Gibraltar – the most important part!!

General conditions:

• To marry at the Registry you must complete affidavits in front of a Commissioner for Oaths in Gibraltar.
• If you don’t live in Gibraltar, you have to show the Registrar proof that you are going to stay in Gibraltar for at least a night, either the night before or night after the ceremony.

Documents required:

• Passport, or another type of acceptable identification
• Birth certificate
• If this is not your first marriage, you will need a previous marriage certificate, divorce certificate, or death certificate.

Please note, if these documents aren’t already in English, they must be officially translated into English.
