If you are the bride…

Surely, you’re already thinking of walking down the aisle to the altar in the most natural way, with that personal style that characterises you and a lot of handmade decorations and wildflowers everywhere!

If you have chosen this type of wedding, it’s because you and your partner want to flee from all formalities and protocols, and you feel like a fish in the water in a rustic, casual and romantic environment.

If you are a simpler bride and you want a simpler dress, you can always complement it with headdresses to give it a touch of colour or a more ornate look, such as with a flower crown. On the other hand, if you opt for a more ornate dress with lace, illusion lace and embroidery, it is better to opt for more discreet accessories.

Without a doubt, the best materials will be the free-flowing and natural materials, such as linen, cotton, hemp, sisal or coir, which give that touch of lightness and informality that is sought in a rustic wedding.

Three quarter length sleeves, plumeti tulle skirts, low backs, asymmetric collars, lace, tassels and knots…the options are endless to show your personality and style on your wedding day!

But the best thing is to be comfortable, that makes you feel relaxed and that highlights all your natural beauty. You will be beautiful!

If you are the groom…

The groom’s style doesn’t go unnoticed! Because brides are no longer the only ones who are the centre of attention, yes, grooms are also the protagonists just like they are.

For a rustic wedding, the groom should dress informal, comfortable and at the same time radiant, so all the classic black suits, with a tuxedo or jacket, will be left aside, and fun and different mixtures will be chosen that combine great in a natural environment.

So…nothing better than a rustic suit. Whose light materials are perfect for this type of wedding, such as rustic tweed, since it is found outdoors and in somewhat warm seasons, such as gardens, country houses, etc. places where nature requires styles with natural fabrics and nothing overdone.

These loose, free-flowing and informal garments can be found in the form of a shirt, trousers or waistcoat, and in white, sand, grey, blue, beige or brown tones.

A light colour with accessories of similar tones looks elegant and at the same time informal, perfect for an outdoor wedding!

And, of course, don’t forget about accessories, since with them you will stand out, such as hats, braces, bow ties, brooches

If you are a [female] guest…

Think that a country wedding requires a style that fits in with the environment, without too much luxury nor exaggeration, but yes: comfort is paramount. Because the ground of the venue can be somewhat uneven and stony, so…what should I wear?

There’s nothing like wedges or sandals, or even a shoe that has a wide heel, forget about those stilettos since you will not be able to enjoy or be comfortable at a time that requires you to enjoy it to the fullest.

Regarding the garments, you will undoubtedly be right with a long and loose dress, or with a boho or hippie style jumpsuit, and without a doubt, avoid sequins, glitter, mixed fabrics and everything that is too pompous for a wedding of this simple style.

Floral motifs also combine really well with the rustic theme, like polka dots or any type of pattern that gives a natural touch but without losing its touch of elegance.

As for the colours, it is best to opt for those that predominate in the colour scheme of the big day, although if you are not clear, betting on pastel tones such as pink, blue or green will surely make you succeed.

Leave behind colours that are too dark and wintery, such as blacks, navy blues, deep purples or khaki greens.

And don’t forget the rustic accessories! Like headbands, turbans, boaters, flower crowns, brooches or even a wicker or straw hat!

If you are a [male] guest…

Wanting to get out of the classic navy or black guest suit that you wear to every wedding? This is the perfect opportunity! Say goodbye to the traditional two- or three-piece suits and opt for some chino trousers in grey or earth colours accompanied by a bow tie or tie.

The garments must be loose, free-flowing and informal, you will appreciate it! Because in addition to being fashionable, you will be cool and comfortable.

In addition, you can always give free rein to originality and creativity, giving a casual touch to the wedding with coloured socks, contrasting ties, shoes, coloured braces…

Being a guest, almost everything goes! Of course, as long as there is no dress code.

If there are also children invited…

The smallest are always the most beautiful and cute guests, and in a rustic wedding, even more so!

Because it is the perfect time for children to run around the gardens, sand, farms, country houses, etc. dressed to be matching and in total harmony with the environment and style of the wedding.

Little girls will look beautiful in short, free-flowing dresses, with fullness and floral ornaments or bows, with a crown or flower hairpin. As well as a blouse and skirt set and matching ballet flats.

Little boys will be more than handsome with Bermuda shorts and a light button up blouse with a mandarin collar, as well as a sash or belt and suede loafers. They can also be very funny with bow ties, ties or shirts in fun colours.

Regarding the colours, the most appropriate for both girls and boys are the most neutral, such as beiges, creams, browns or nudes, since they fit in well with the rustic environment.

Remember that you do not have to dress children up to go to a wedding, but simple accommodate them in a rustic style, keeping in mind that they are not adults, so always opt for comfort and make the child feel free, you already know that they can’t keep still!
