Your big day is approaching and you have thousands of ideas in your head regarding the perfect venues to celebrate your wedding, because above all you would like it to take place in a beautiful, special, original and memorable spot.
But, in the case of this couple, this choice was made extremely easy after finding the Faín Viejo farmhouse, with which Cristina, the bride, fell in love at first sight.
Say ‘I do’ amongst history, art, flowers and wildlife
This farmhouse is an invaluable olive grove that has been completely restored and decorated with works of art and unique antiques, filling its spaces with history and an exclusive ambiance.
Inside the farmhouse you can find magnificent galleries, wine cellars, a library, large halls, an oil mill, a swimming pool and even its own natural spring!
But its charm truly lies within its gardens, which are full of every type of tree, such as orange trees, olive trees, lemon trees, almond trees, fig trees, plum trees and walnut trees. Furthermore, you can find wildlife such as hens, doves, geese, real turkeys and colourful fishes in the ponds in the courtyards.
In the heart of Andalusia
The bride and groom chose the Andalusian lands for their wedding, taking their guests to Cádiz, specifically to Arcos de La Frontera, where they got married under the golden sun and surrounded by the aromas of the best tapas in all of Spain.
The decoration of the olive grove for the big day
The ceremony was held outside, in an idyllic spot furnished with a large and beautiful rug and rows of white chairs for the guests. The bride and groom were sat at a wicker bench with white cushions.
The maroon in the carnations, hydrangeas and serrated leaves turned the olive grove into a true feast of colour.
The banquet also took place at the farmhouse
Faín Viejo also offers traditional cuisine from the orchard, where the couple could enjoy dishes that combined vegetables with legumes, such as molinera garlic, stuffed artichokes, chard soup, cocktails and salads. There wasn’t a single crumb left on their plates!
For the banquet, the farmhouse continued to be decorated in the same style as the rest of the venue, combining fuchsias and maroons with blues on the plates, vases and wicker place-mats.
Dressed to compliment the old monastery
The bride, to get married in this environment, chose the wedding dress company María Jesús Dominguez, from which she chose a princess dress with a V neckline, with tulle, lace, embroidery and sequins, all accompanied by an elegant veil.
Rosario was in charge of the hairstyle, and created an elegant look with a low ponytail accessorised with jewellery, that matched the bride’s simple makeup.
And the groom, dressed by the boutique Como un Señor, wore a navy-blue suit accompanied by an ornate waistcoat and a jewel in the middle of his tie.
A wedding night at Faín Viejo
That’s right, you can also spend your wedding night here at this beautiful farmhouse, and this is precisely what the newlyweds did. This olive grove has ten original and luxury rooms inside its old watch tower, its oil mill, near to its natural spring and even in its chimney and library! In this way, you can enjoy a fairy-tale wedding night of dreams.
