The chosen venue: La Pedriza

In the municipality of Manzanares del Real, in Madrid, and surrounded by the Sierra de Guadarrama, is La Pedriza: a landscape full of streams, meadows, rocky walls, jets, bridges, waterfalls, mountain peaks, birds of prey and reptiles, which if in itself is already charming…imagine it in autumn!

So this couple, who are not at all conventional, decided to say “I do” in a wedding in La Pedriza in Madrid, this place declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, which has been a protected area since 1930.

Did you know that La Pedriza was the scene of some western films that were shot in the 60s?

A sublime floral decoration at a wedding in La Pedriza in Madrid

Both the altar at the top of the mountain and the bride’s bouquet were full of brightly coloured flowers reminiscent of autumn, such as red, orange or pink, which were accompanied by flowers of more neutral colours such as white.

Dusty green eucalyptus leaves alongside olive leaves were also accompanied by other dusty red leaves and rose, peonies and chrysanthemums.

Rain of petals to celebrate this wedding in La Pedriza in Madrid

The bride and groom have followed all of the trends in weddings this season, so at the end of the ceremony to leave the altar and celebrate that they were already husband and wife, they made a difference for not having any rice thrown over them, but instead they were sprinkled with rose petals.

Who says this is not valid? Anything that suits your style is allowed!

What do you prefer, traditional rice or rose petals, soap bubbles or paper aeroplanes? If you also prefer an autumn wedding, don’t hesitate to choose autumn leaves to fall on you!

A bride with embroidery, tulle and illusion lace

With a flowy A-line dress, embroidered V-neck, baggy sleeves fitted at the cuffs full of illusion lace and embroidery, with a smooth bottom half of the dress with a leg opening and an open back full of embroidery, was how the bride walked on the rocks of La Pedriza. Stunning!

Style accompanied her with a hairstyle that is part of the hairstyle trends this season, this consisted of a half-updo composed of plaits and ponytails, the so-called waterfall hairstyle, with which she managed to show off all of her hair without actually wearing it loose. Perfect for her open back dress!

A very “firm” groom in his wedding in La Pedriza in Madrid

With a military suit, specifically the dress uniform of the Royal Marines, the groom became a husband.

The uniform consisted of a black fabric with red embroidery on the shoulder pads, cuffs and double side stripes on the trousers.

It also featured gold details, such as the spades embroidered in gold thread, insignia, and the infantry peaked cap in white.

On his shoulders the groom had the coat of arms of the Royal Marines (the anchor with crossed rifles) embroidered, and on the cuffs sardinetas with the braids of the rank.
