History

They call it Tacita de Plata (Silver Cup) and it is considered the oldest city in the West. In this place of special light, baroque palaces and the homes built by Spaniards who made their fortune in Latin America coexist in perfect harmony with the modern architecture of our Parador.

If you are a lover of design, you will find the Parador de Cádiz fascinating. It is a modern gem with views of the bay of the bay from anywhere in the building: the balconies, the airy guest rooms, the exclusive swimming pool, the relaxing spa.

The restaurant and tapas bar offer exquisite delicacies for your enjoyment and the function rooms will be the ideal location to make your most exclusive events a success. Just a few steps from the hotel is La Caleta Beach. It invites you to stroll along the esplanade, which bore witness to the years when the port served as an important connection to the New World, evoking the beautiful image of the Malecón in Havana.

Cádiz Cathedral is another example of the colonial greatness of this city. It is visible from the sea, and it is impossible to resist the invitation to visit its golden tile covered cupola. The atmosphere in Cádiz will charm you. You will love its neighborhoods, including Pópulo, the oldest; Santa María, with its beautiful baroque houses; squares such as San Juan de Dios, where visitors absolutely must try the “pescaíto” frito (fried fish); and Zorrilla Street, whose bars and tapas will make you fall in love with the city.

This same joy is found during Carnival, the city’s festival par excellence. All of Cádiz dresses up and the streets are filled with groups of revelers and wild abandon. Falla Theater, home to the Cádiz Carnival Group Competition, is a hub for the traditional pranks, where you will laugh like never before and discover that Cádiz and its people are unique.

Come to the Parador de Cádiz, the ideal choice to contemplate the light and magic that await you in this city. We know that the experience will be unique.
