The history of the old palace where today stands the Hotel La Marquesa dates back to the early times of the Nasrid dynasty, early 1273.
Don Francisco González Padilla acquired this property in 1904 and since then the building has been restored by different generations of the González family, discovering the beautiful plasterwork that cover the walls of the main rooms of this complex.
At present a comprehensive rehabilitation has been carried out which has provided a wealth of historical data that reveal the importance of the old almunia and have restored its former splendor and beauty.
