History

Villa Le Blanc, Gran Meliá Menorca’s first grand luxury hotel and a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, offers exquisitely designed rooms and suites with private pools, a selection of dining options that pay homage to Menorcan cuisine and the island’s lifestyle, and a wellness area managed by Thai Room, offering an authentic and immersive Asian spa experience.

Villa Le Blanc enjoys an idyllic natural setting on Santo Tomás beach, on the Migjorn coast, halfway between Mahón and Ciutadella. An ideal coastal location to discover all the cultural and natural attractions of Menorca (declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1993).

Reopened in 2022 after a complete renovation, the establishment combines simple and contemporary design in a palette of whites and blues. The hotel offers a total of 159 rooms and numerous public spaces. The Penthouse Suite, the Master Suite with private pool and the Presidential Suite offer the widest range of luxury amenities, as well as sea views, which can be enjoyed from their balconies and private pools.

With the spacious terraces and porches typical of Mediterranean architecture, the spaces are designed to achieve a perfect fusion of outdoor and indoor areas.

The hotel’s gastronomic facilities pay homage to local products, and the exquisite cuisine of the different restaurants uses the best fresh ingredients from the island’s farms.

S’Amarador reproduces the cuisine of the emblematic mother restaurant in Ciutadella. The restaurant preserves and adapts all the traditions of the old fishermen’s taverns that were once located throughout the port area.

In addition to S’Amarador, the hotel offers the authentic Menorcan essence at SAÓ, based on Mediterranean cheeses, wines from the islands and products from our land, a reflection of true Menorcan cuisine and its ingredients.
