Arguijuela Castle

History

The Arguijuela Castle is located 17 km from the city of Cáceres, in Extremadura. This castle dates from the XV century when D. Francisco de Ovando began its construction, which ended in the XVII century with the latest reforms. It is considered an Asset of Cultural Interest.

Today the castle is a beautiful and modern building that preserves the history of the old castle. Its owner is Ramón Jordán de Urríes and Martínez de Galinsoga, Vizconde de Roda.

Weddings and events

The Arguijuela Castle has lounges with different characteristics and capacities and a beautiful garden where you can celebrate a unique wedding.

Inside the castle we discover a gothic and Renaissance styles courtyard, in addition to three rooms: Salón de la Torre and Salón de Goya, with capacity for 30 people each, and the Salón Principal, which has a capacity of up to 80 people. However, if your event exceeds this data, the castle has an elegant great hall in an annexed building and with capacity of 260 people.

If your wedding takes place in spring or summer, do not hesitate to celebrate the banquet in its wonderful garden, which can also accommodate up to 1200 guests and was designed by Consuelo Correcher. Also, if it’s a day wedding, you can celebrate the dance in the centenary Olive tree area.

For religious weddings, next to the castle is the Hermitage Nuestra Señora de Gracia y Esperanza, dating from the XV century.

In the Arguijuela Castle you can also celebrate any type of company events, christenings, meetings or even medieval banquets with a group of very prestigious extras.
