A proposal of marriage in Madrid… a fatherly one!
The groom, born in Mexico, decided it was time to go one step further, so he didn’t hesitate to contact us to organise their proposal in Madrid, and that’s what we did!
While they took a stroll through the famous Madrid park, the bride had no idea what was about to happen, and the team from Weddings and Events by Natalia Ortiz took care of organising everything so that, at the least expected moment, the groom got down on one knee in a scene worthy of a movie.

Retiro Park, a place to say “Yes, I do”
El Retiro is one of the most beautiful and largest parks in Madrid, that’s why all couples love it! It also has very photogenic places for the wedding proposal, full of nature that makes the photos look like they’ve just come out of a fairy tale!
The area chosen in this 400-year-old park for this Mexican couple was on the other side of the pond, next to the monument to Alfonso XII, between columns, sculptures and steps.
There are different areas that are perfect for the proposal: balconies overlooking the lake, the Palacio de Cristal, the botanical gardens of the Rosaleda, fountains and bridges.
A very romantic decoration
For the scene of this proposal in Madrid, we used a lot of red rose petals set in the form of a heart, as well as white letters that expressed the groom’s wish to marry his girl: Marry me.
Music on the scene
Of course, what is a special moment without music? Nothing! That’s why the violin was in charge of livening up their evening, in Retiro Park you can find a lot of artists, not just emerging artists but also established ones, that’s why the bride didn’t suspect anything!
And, as we all know, there is nothing better than music to enliven emotions and make moments unique, memorable and meaningful.
A bouquet of flowers after the big moment
The bride was excited and happy to discover the great scene that her boyfriend had set up for her, and didn’t hesitate for a second to respond with the desired “I do”.
But the romantic moment wasn’t over yet! The groom presented her a big bouquet of red roses combined with white paniculata, which were her favourite flowers!
Time to relax
When the magical moment of this proposal in Madrid had already happened and our coordinator had passed the bouquet of flowers to the girl, they started to take a lot of photos as newly engaged couple.
They took a walk through the park and were able to pose in the different corners of the park: the lake with its boats, the Palacio de Cristal, the sculptures, the columns, etc.
