At Perfect Venue, we love proposal events! And it’s all right because we share this excitement and joy with our couples! It worked out well this time too!
In this article, we are going to tell you how this couple experienced their proposal in Madrid among watercolours. Do you want to know how? Then read on! Because if you also need ideas for a special proposal, full of magic and emotions, here you won’t be short of them.
Let’s start!
Spain is a popular country to make wedding proposals
The groom proposed to his bride in Retiro Park, during their holidays in Spain. Our bride Olga didn’t suspect anything, because they went for a walk in the park as a mere tourist activity. And then, when she least expected it, he proposed to her.
Vacation is a perfect time to carry out the proposal!
Retiro Park – the perfect setting
Retiro Park is located in the heart of Madrid, it has various areas perfect for a proposal of marriage: balconies overlooking the lake, the Crystal Palace, the botanical gardens of the Rose Garden, the fountains, etc. And if you arrive there in autumn, all the better! At this time, when the leaves fall and everything around is flooded with such vibrant colours!
Retiro is one of the most beautiful and biggest parks in the capital, that’s why all couples love it! The Park has extremely photogenic places for the wedding proposal, with an endless number of colours that give an incredible light to the photos!
Be original to avoid arousing suspicions
The groom decided it was time to go one step further, so he decided to invite the bride to spend a weekend in Madrid and contacted us to organise his proposal during their stay, and that’s what we did!
During their walk in the park, the bride was unaware of anything. We organised a proposal of her dreams: a watercolour painting workshop that was looking like another activity during her trip to Madrid!
A unique artistic decoration
Preparing the scene for this big moment, we could not leave aside the romanticism of the bride’s hobbies. The groom told us that she loves watercolours, painting, and drawing. Art and paintings are her great passions.
That is why we created a unique setting by decorating it with a blanket and watercolours, paintbrushes, and papers. The bride and groom were able to paint before the groom asked the big question!
Yes, I do
When the bride wasn’t expecting it, the groom told her to lift one of the papers, where she found a little gift box. He asked her to open it, and there she found the ring that changed her life forever.
Olga put on a show of emotions, she couldn’t hold back her tears, she was jumping up like crazy, because she was so happy!
Great autumnal outfits
For this great moment, the groom chose to dress in autumnal colours, like the season and this beautiful place, full of golden lights and yellowish leaves. He wore a beige bomber jacket over a mustard jumper with light brown trousers and brown suede shoes. Looks elegant and casual at the same time!
The bride opted for total white for her walk in the park Retiro and wore a white jumper with trousers in the same colour. Also, she chose a pair of super romantic pink furry boots.
Both were dressed very comfortably for this time of the year and more than appropriate for the moment they were living.
Great professionals took care of everything
As soon as the groom said that he wanted to surprise his bride, Natalia Ortiz, the wedding planner, set about all the preparations to make the moment unique, and she did it successfully!
