Finca Aldeallana; where Diana and Miguel said “I do”
At the wedding venue, Miguel and Diana were surrounded by 300 hectares of Spanish countryside with hundred-year-old oak trees, thyme, lavender and deer, whilst also being very close to Segovia.
The bride and groom were able to enjoy the house, which was decorated by the owner herself with a rustic chic style. Inside the house there were cosy lounges with fireplaces and slate floors – perfect for a wedding during the colder season!
There is also the exterior of the house, where the bride and groom chose to say their vows in the gardens surrounding Finca Aldeallana with wonderful views. This is also where they enjoyed their wedding reception.
Diana and Miguel chose to have their religious wedding in this area surrounded by nature, as the Santa Eulalia in Merida is linked to the farm by a beautiful rural road.
One of the most welcoming parts of the farm is the marquee, which has enough space for many guests and has many large windows so that you can enjoy the surroundings at all times with your guests. There is also a small house which can be used as accommodation for some guests.
However, this couple chose to celebrate their country wedding in the most intimate way possible without any guests, so that they could enjoy eachothers company and Aldeallana’s elegant style.
Decor: Laurel Leaves and Wooden Accents
Finca Aldeallana was filled with many green laurel leaves which could be seen on the altar bench, in the centre of the table and in the bride’s bouquet.
The bouquet was made up of different flowers, including white tulips and cotton flowers held together with branches – it was a very rural wedding bouquet!
At the altar there was a table and a bench made of the same kind of wood which were accompanied by two large white cushions. On the table there were lots of different sized candles and wicker baskets, and on the floor there were large vases holding more candles. There was also a large white lectern, and laurel leaves everywhere!
The same leaves were scattered over the bride and groom after the ceremony, which was a very original and romantic alternative to traditional confetti.
After that, Diana and Miguel walked over to the banquet, where there was a beautiful blue bench and a large white wooden table. On the table there were white floral-printed and tin plates, silver cutlery and centrepieces which matched the bouquet.
A Sophisticated Style for a Winter Setting
Instead of picking a traditional wedding dress, the bride opted for a two-piece outfit.
The top that she chose was embroidered with flowers and transparent fabric with a v-neck and an open back, and the skirt had many layering fabrics which complemented her.
For her accessories, Diana had a short cape which protected her from the cold, as well as shoes perfect for winter which were made of pink velvet and tied around her ankles.
Her makeup was very simple, predominantly nude tones which made for a natural look. Her matte pink lipstick stood out, and for her eye makeup she had fine black eyeliner with pink and brown eyeshadow.
The hairstyle Diana chose for her big day had large, wavy curls and a few small braids. She also wore a bronze and blue tiara to match the ribbon that tied the stems of her bridal bouquet.
Miguel’s outfit looked radiant: he wore a navy blue checked jacket with a white handkerchief in the pocket, a white shirt and a navy blue tie which had a white and blue pattern printed on it.
His suit was also accompanied by a grey waistcoat with interior lining printed in the same colours.
A Fairytale Photo Shoot
Rosa Garrido is the best photographer when it comes to capturing emotions; her photos of the wedding resulted in impeccable pictures full of feelings and emotions. There’s no surprise there!
Miguel and Diana wrapped up warm and took an adorable bicycle with a basket filled with flowers around the farm whilst they had their photo shoot in the snow.
Diana overcame the cold weather by changing her top to a denim shirt and her cape to a grey shawl. She also exchanged her pink velvet shoes for a pair of comfortable and warm brown UGG boots.
Miguel also replaced his jacket with a navy blue wool coat that he wore with a scarf in the same shade of navy blue.
