Let’s get to it!
If you think of weddings in the Balearic Islands, Mallorca might be the first destination that comes to mind. So, we’re going to give you some tips to make celebrating your wedding on this island a less complicated task.

Choose the season wisely!
We know that when you imagine your wedding in the Balearic Islands, you usually think of summertime. However, let us tell you, it’s not entirely recommended, both due to the heat and the tourist demand, as it can make planning your special day a headache.
If you want to celebrate your wedding in the wonderful Mallorca, it’s best to opt for months like May, June, September, and early October. The weather is much more pleasant and there’s less tourist demand, so it’s sure to be easier to find the property you like available, or the suppliers won’t be as busy and can provide you with better service. This is always something to keep in mind.

Opt for a Mallorcan estate or “possessió”
Without a doubt, one of the island’s gems are its traditional estates, many of which have been restored, which can make your day truly unforgettable.
Ideal for outdoor weddings with dinners under hanging lights and views of the Tramuntana Mountains or the sea.
Here are some Mallorcan estates for this special event:
Son Togores Estate:
Located in the Tramuntana Mountains.
Alfabia Gardens
Located in Bunyola, declared intangible heritage by UNESCO.

Finca Comassema
An authentic, centuries-old “possessió” in the Orient Valley, in the heart of the Tramuntana Mountains.
Son Marroig
The former residence of the Archduke of Austria, located between Valldemossa and Deià, has been declared a World Heritage Site for its white marble viewing platform and temple with endless sea views.

If you love sunsets and the sea and want an intimate wedding, you can’t miss Cap de Formentor, a unique place on the island that will leave you speechless.
Choose a Local Gastronomic Experience
Without a doubt, a great idea for weddings in the Balearic Islands would be to incorporate local products such as sobrasada, Mahón cheese, ensaimadas, local olive oil, and wines from Binissalem or Pla i Llevant into your wedding catering. A true delight for the palate that won’t leave your guests indifferent.
Thus, between the views, the decorations, and the special flavors of the food, you’ll have a truly enriching wedding for all the senses.

Include music and tradition
Imagine your guests arriving for the cocktail reception to be greeted by a performance by xeremiers (Mallorcan bagpipers). You’ll undoubtedly leave them speechless and make that moment of snacking and chatting even more enjoyable and entertaining.
And when it’s time to party, an international DJ will mix his style with songs or rhythms typical of the island. Both you and your guests will surely dance until you’re exhausted that day. It’s also a fun way to introduce unfamiliar guests to the island’s culture.

Take advantage of the Mallorcan light for your photos
For that special day, we recommend finding a local photographer. Why?
Because they’ll know exactly the best hours of light to ensure your photos are picture-perfect.
Imagine an idyllic sunset, with breathtaking sea views, and a photographer who knows how to take advantage of all of that. The result is the photos we all dream of on the most important day of our lives.
If we continue talking about weddings in the Balearic Islands, our minds undoubtedly go to Menorca, an island known for its beautiful coves, crystal-clear waters, and incredible views. Let’s go over some tips that will make your wedding on this island unforgettable.

Take advantage of the island’s natural essence
Menorca is a Biosphere Reserve, so you’ll have no shortage of incredible venues to celebrate your wedding on this island. This makes the task of finding the idyllic setting much easier. Now all you have to do is decide whether you prefer mountain views or a private cove with stunning sea views. Once you’ve decided, all you have to do is get to work.

Find a “lloc” or typical Menorcan country house
“Llocs” are traditional country houses, many of which have been converted into wedding venues. These estates have a rustic and authentic charm, ideal for a Mediterranean-style celebration.
Below is a list of private llocs in Menorca that will leave your guests speechless:
Finca Llucalari Nou
An authentic rural setting with stunning views and direct access to a pristine cove, perfect for an intimate and unforgettable wedding.

Finca Ses Cuarterades
A luxurious space designed to make you feel like you’re in a fairy tale, with accommodation included for up to 10 people.
If you’re looking for a more intimate estate:
Mallaui (Ciutadella)

If you love the sea, be sure to check out:

Organize an extra activity as part of the experience
Choose the date wisely for weddings in the Balearic Islands and prepare for the breeze
Just like in Mallorca, on this island it’s important to consider the weather when planning a wedding. Although we know that Menorca’s climate is mild, the breezes are unpredictable and can make your wedding day a bit complicated.
Therefore, we recommend late May, June, and September, as the weather during these months is much more pleasant and there aren’t as many tourists as the high summer months, when finding your dream venue can become a real headache.

Organize an extra activity as part of the experience
If you want to do something different and make your wedding memorable for something original, we suggest including an activity at your wedding. Any ideas?
How about a boat trip through the island’s most beautiful coves? Or maybe a brunch the next day? Or why not have a pre-wedding cocktail party in Ciutadella at sunset?
All of this will undoubtedly make your guests remember your wedding forever, and you’ll also show them why you chose this island as the setting for the most important day of your life.
The sea, the sunset, the colors, the flavors—all of this will make that moment even more special, if possible.

Consider a ceremony on the coast or in a chapel.
If you’re one of those people who would love a beachfront wedding, there are small temples and incredible viewpoints like the Hermitage of Fátima or Punta Nati, with ocean views.
You can also have your civil or symbolic ceremony on a terrace overlooking a hidden cove. The sound of the sea will make it so you don’t need much else.

We know that we often miss something, so if you’re still hesitant about choosing this island as your destination for your wedding in the Balearic Islands, here’s everything this island has to offer. Don’t miss it!

Ibiza is an island with a unique energy that combines bohemian elegance, spectacular landscapes, and a vibrant social life, so here are our tips for celebrating your wedding on this island with everything it has to offer.
Choose your style: boho-chic, elegant, or Mediterranean
Without a doubt, the hallmark of this island is relaxed boho-chic, with natural touches, lace, wildflowers, and outdoor music.
You can also opt for a more luxurious wedding in a modern villa or five-star hotel, or a classic Mediterranean wedding in a rural estate or by the sea.

Choose a location with soul
Luckily, on this island, the ideas for your wedding are endless.

If you’re looking for more idyllic locations for your wedding in Ibiza, here are the 8 best places for your wedding on the White Isle.
Avoid the busiest months for weddings in the Balearic Islands
We know that Ibiza is one of the most expensive and crowded islands in the Balearic Islands, so to ensure your wedding isn’t a pain in the wallet, we recommend avoiding the months of July and August, mainly due to the heat.
If you want good weather, without too many people on the island so you can enjoy it properly and find available suppliers at the best prices, the best times are undoubtedly May, June, September, and early October.

Decorate with natural materials
Use elements typical of the island, such as light woods, stone, esparto grass, dried flowers, lavender, olive trees, or bougainvillea.
The beauty of Ibiza is its natural simplicity. If you add warm lights, candles, and handcrafted details, you can create a magical, uncluttered, and spectacular atmosphere that will leave your guests wanting the day to never end.

Make music the centerpiece
One of the things that most characterizes the island is undoubtedly music, so it would be a good idea to incorporate it into your day.
How about livening up the cocktail hour with flamenco music or a local band? And for the party, a local DJ will mix both the most world-renowned songs and those that make the island authentic.
It’s a fun idea that can make that moment of sharing and dancing with your loved ones special, during the most special moment of your life.

Facilitate Transportation and Accommodation
If you’re getting married on the Iberian Peninsula, you obviously don’t think about providing accommodation for your guests, as the church or the estate are usually relatively close to everyone. However, for weddings in the Balearic Islands, it’s very important to keep this in mind.
You have to consider that not all, or most, of your guests don’t live there, so we recommend providing transportation to take your guests to the estate. Or, if you’re a family person who likes to be close to your loved ones at all times, look for an estate where you can all stay and celebrate the wedding. This way, you won’t have to worry about providing transportation and you can all be together before, during, and after the wedding, which will undoubtedly be much more convenient for both you and your guests.
Speaking of the island of Formentera, we’d like to share with you a fact that you may not have known and is very important when planning weddings in the Balearic Islands. This island doesn’t have an airport, so you’ll need to keep this in mind when planning transportation for your guests.
The most common route to Formentera is by boat or ferry from the port of Ibiza, where you’ll be on the island in about half an hour, although it can also take an hour depending on the company you travel with.
If you have a guest who isn’t a big fan of flying, you can also reach the island from the port of Denia, which would also be helpful if they want to bring a car to explore the island at their leisure.
However, one thing to keep in mind is that if you want to bring a car to Formentera, you’ll need to obtain authorization, especially during the summer months.
If you’re celebrating your wedding during peak season in Formentera, we recommend purchasing ferry tickets in advance so that you and your guests don’t miss out on a way to get to the island.
