If you have ever thought about celebrating your wedding in Alicante…say no more, feast your eyes on this article which gives you some ideas thanks to Nirvana and Gadiel, our bride and groom who got married on the banks of Castell de Barxell.
A unique and magical space that will leave your guests completely in love with its gardens, wineries, salons and farms.
The Castell also has a chapel, thus allowing the possibility to celebrate a religious wedding. This has all been thought about!
The situation of the castle, immeasurable
And this is thanks to the fact that it in is the Natural park of Font De la Roja and it is only a 12 minute walk to the city of Alcoy, the city of bridges and legends which tell of love and mystery.
Thanks to this localisation it is possible to get married with a view of the mountains with the pure green of the lawns and surrounded by nature in all of its splendour with excellent weather always accompanying it.
Spacing and Capacity of Barxell
The bride and groom have all the space that they want at their total disposition and these can accomodate up to 1000 guests.
It has two living rooms, the Panoramic Lounge, which is in the interior and can accomodate up to 500 dinner guests and it is where you can celebrate the banquet, the disco or the cocktail/appetizers.
In the Celler Lounge, the smallest capacity wise, it can accomodate up to 150 dinner guests but this space can also be used to celebrate a civil ceremony or a banquet or disco for weddings of a smaller scale.
In the Altar del Sotarroni, which is on the exterior of the building and can accomodate up to 600 guests you can celebrate a civil ceremony, a cocktail or appetizer or a disco.
This space was chosen by Nirvana and Gadiel to say “I do”! A place in which it was covered with white tiles, views of the mountains and they were amongst fabrics, candles, flowers and long white wooden benches set in the space for the ceremony.
In the castle you will also find the garden of Catalpas, which can accomodate up to 1000 guests to celebrate a civil ceremony, a cocktail or appetiser or a disco.
Finally, it is the Chapel of St. Joseph, a small chapel which can host up to 100 guests perfect to celebrate your religious ceremony.
For all of the spaces in the castle, Floricatessen
For the altar, for the chairs, for the centerpieces…for all of this you can have a combination of flowers and leaves some of the most distinctive being: red and orange leaves together with the traditional greenish white roses, satolines, pink paniculatas, this is how the castle was filled!
To reach the vicinity of Alcoy
Envelopes closed with sealing wax like in the castle era, white cloth ties with tassels, all of this accompanied invitations placed in black envelopes with drawings of flowers.
The food on site
As well as this the castle has a specialised chef who recreates dishes on site. On the site a cart was also placed reminding them of the medieval era as the cart was full of snacks such as live cut ham, cheeses, olives, nuts and goji berries.
The bride and groom as authentic habitants of the Castell
The bride chose a dress model from Cindy de Valerio Luna, best known in this space for her style which is a reminder of the authentic medieval times: a mermaid cut with glass applications, deep plunge neckline with bareback and with blonds on the back and sleeves.
The makeup was also ideal for the rustic vibe of the space with bronzed eyeshadows, a hairpin braid hairstyle made by Bionda Stylistas.
Gadiel was a full knight walking around the castle with his grey garrido outfit. For the ceremony he wore navy accompanied by a gilet in light gray, a white shirt and a tie.
If you are asking who was the wedding planner in charge of organising such a wedding, it was Natalia Ortiz from Perfect Venue. Do you also want to get married in such a space?
