How was Nera Photofilms born, and what led you to specialize in high-quality wedding video and photography?
Nera Photofilms was founded by Samuel Sánchez, a professional videographer with extensive experience in the advertising and music industries, with the goal of offering high-quality wedding video and photography services that are fully personalized and tailored to the couples’ interests.
Your style is documentary-artistic. How do you make couples feel comfortable and capture natural and spontaneous images?
We place great importance on prior communication. That’s why we meet with all our couples to get to know each other and give them all the information they need and answer any questions they may have. This way, we build trust for the wedding so everything runs more smoothly and comfortably.

Nowadays, there are many options in the high-quality wedding video and photography industry. What do you think makes Nera Photofilms special?
The personalized service and the quality of our work. We value every detail and every gesture that happens throughout the day, with the main goal of ensuring our couples remember everything as realistically as possible. That’s why we place great importance on sound: we record the ceremony with professional sound equipment, as well as the rest of the wedding.
You’ve worked in different parts of Spain and around the world. What has been the most impressive place to shoot a wedding?
Despite having worked on weddings all over the world, the most special one was in Guadarrama (Madrid), as the ceremony was held on a pier in the middle of a lake.
Technology plays an important role in your work. How do 4K cameras and drones influence the quality of the final result?
They have a very significant impact. In the past, the quality of these projects was nothing like what we see today. And not just in terms of image, but also in terms of sound. It brings a realism to each moment that helps immortalize it and keeps it with the couples for the rest of their lives. Drones give us that perspective that the human eye doesn’t have, and therefore add enormous value to each report.

How do you manage to stay up-to-date with current trends in high-quality wedding video and photography, and what do you do to innovate and not be “just another one” in such a competitive market?
I believe it’s essential to immerse yourself in industry leaders and use this as a source of inspiration to stay up-to-date with new trends and styles, along with daily training in recording and editing for the new format.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced at a wedding, and how did you resolve it?
The biggest challenge was at a wedding in Aranjuez (Madrid), where it started pouring down with rain in the middle of the ceremony. We had to quickly gather all our equipment, thinking it was ruined, and even worse, all the footage we’d recorded up to that point. Luckily, it stopped raining after a while, and we had to set up all the equipment again in the same position.
You offer combined photography and video packages. Do you think it’s an advantage to hire both services from the same team?
Yes, without a doubt. By offering both services under the same brand, we’re helping to maintain a common style in both photography and video. Not only that, but you offer a much better service and result since we’re a team that’s been working together for quite some time, and that creates better communication between us and our couples.

How do you handle the editing of the videos and photos to ensure they faithfully reflect the essence of each wedding?
Obtaining good footage from both the recording and photography is essential, but I think the magic touch comes from editing. For example, in the video editing, we use music that our couples like. Another factor we use, as I mentioned earlier, is capturing audio of each moment, bringing it to life in a realistic way. A wedding video isn’t a series of images and a background song; it goes much further: we carefully consider every shot, every frame, and every transition between scenes to create an organic and honest experience.
If you could choose any couple in the world to immortalize their wedding, who would you choose and why?
I would choose a couple from the United States. I love that country, and I love the way they approach weddings, especially their audiovisual content. They value having a wedding video as fundamental and essential, and that’s great.
Maintaining a close relationship with the bride and groom is one of your priorities. How do you create that special bond with each couple?
I mentioned this previously. Through various pre-wedding meetings that help build trust through fluid communication about everything they need to know. We also recommend and offer pre-wedding photography at a very affordable price, which helps further convey that security and makes our bride and groom feel comfortable with us. This is certainly a key factor for the wedding, ensuring everything goes perfectly.

What has been the most emotional comment or reaction you’ve received from a couple after seeing your photography?
Fortunately, the reviews we receive from our couples are all positive, filled with emotion and sincerity. If I had to highlight one, it would be that of a couple who told me I was a “creator of happiness,” and this truly makes a difference and motivates us to continue offering optimal service to each and every one of our couples.
Finally, what advice would you give couples to ensure their high-quality wedding videos and photos are unforgettable?
I always tell them to forget that we’re there with the camera, to flow with their true selves, and to enjoy every second of their wedding, as we will go unnoticed and will simply be capturing every moment and every detail so that their day will be immortalized forever.
