What excites and fulfills you the most about working in photography and videography in the Balearic islands?
We love the style of Mediterranean weddings. It’s not just because we live here; it’s because we believe that the charm of Mallorcan estates, the climate, the natural surroundings, and the gastronomy make these events wonderfully unique.
¿What role does light play in your work, and how do you use it to enhance your photos and videos?
Light is indispensable for our work to turn out well. We always work to favor natural light whenever possible until we have to use artificial light. Every time we talk with our couples, we emphasize that investing in light also means investing in their memories. If there is light, there is good subsequent work: not just in aesthetics but also in final quality.
Could you share a funny anecdote from a photo session? Any “random” or unusual moments?
We’ve experienced many anecdotes, but the best ones are always with Dani. Just to say, he has crowned himself as the king of falls. For example, during ceremony exits, while walking backward, Dani tripped over a rock and fell in slow motion to save the shot and the equipment, or he fell with the treacherous ropes of a tent…
How do you incorporate the preferences and personalities of the couples into your work?
Meetings, getting to know our couples, and establishing a relationship with them help us understand what they seek and show them the style they want for their memories. We try to learn their tastes, see how they are, what kind of wedding they imagine, and what kind of wedding they actually experience.
What advice would you give to couples about to get married on choosing their photographer or videographer? What is key when deciding?
Establishing a connection beyond the professional is essential. Photographers and videographers, after all, are artists who immortalize your best memories. A good connection and communication make the process easier and make you feel comfortable and relaxed. In short, feeling in good hands will allow you as a couple to fully enjoy your day without any worries.
What equipment and techniques do you consider essential for capturing those unforgettable moments?
We have a large team of equipment that we have expanded over time to ensure we capture everything in the best possible way. We also work with a team of assistants who are very used to working with us, know exactly what style we are looking for, and enjoy accompanying the couples on their special day, which is essential.
If you had the opportunity to offer your photography and videography services for the wedding of a celebrity in the Balearic Islands, who would it be and where?
Each of us might say a different artist, haha, but we all agree that it would be an honor to shoot Taylor Swift’s wedding. “Taylor, come to Mallorca!!” As for the location… There are so many stunning estates in Mallorca! It’s hard to choose one, but we think we’d go for “La Fortaleza.” It’s one of the most “top” estates on the island, and we haven’t had the chance to work there yet, but from what we’ve seen, it’s spectacular.
What current trends in wedding photography and videography do you find the coolest? What’s in vogue?
Today, there are many styles of photography and video. We are inspired by those stories told like a movie trailer: their own; or photos that express emotions or elegance, with which you look at them astonished, thinking, “What a wonder this professional has created! I want to be like him/her!” haha
If your style of photography and videography in the Balearic islands were a cocktail, what would be the ingredients?
Light, naturalness, professionalism, art, but above all, large doses of good vibes.
What are the short, medium, and long-term goals for Sarts Produccions?
Our goal is to continue offering quality in the form of memories, to be valued for what we do and how we do it, not just another number. We would love to take our photography and videography in the Balearic islands outside and eventually, maybe a wedding in the United States?
Lastly, if Sarts Produccions made a movie, what would the title be and what would it be about?
Actually, Sarts Produccions already has a movie in post-production, haha. It’s titled “180º” and was shot at the end of 2019, but the pandemic and the high demand for work have delayed it. “180º” revolves around the “mafia” and reveals a tragic love story where nothing is as it seems.
