Can I get married as in ancient Roman times? Yes, in the Tondón Palace! Because it is a palace from the 16th century that has preserved all its origins, but it has also been adapted to the new era to celebrate any exclusive event.
That is why Noelia and Rubén did not hesitate for a second when it came to choosing a venue for their wedding in La Rioja, opting for this palace hotel in which they used all its spaces: from the hall for the wedding reception to the marquee and the magical wine cellar.
Yes, magical, and this word becomes more and more meaningful as you get closer to the Tondón, and if not, just ask these bride and groom! They lived their big day with views of the vineyards, surrounded by mountains, with the Ebro river flowing by and centuries-old wine cellars.
Time stands still here, which is why it is the perfect place for any couple.
A treat for the palate
The cuisine of the Palacio Tondón restaurant is contemporary, full of contrasts and flavours, designed so that every palate can enjoy the local products of the area and so that on your big day you can count on a cuisine full of stories that are told in every dish.
The culinary variety at Noelia and Rubén’s wedding was guaranteed with a menu that was adapted to the season, with unbeatable techniques that offered a complete experience, tasting the delicacies of Riojan cuisine: their Rioja-style potatoes, their menestras, quail, tuna and sausage, among a thousand other options!
And how can we forget the wines? If pairing is what you breathe throughout the palace, with the best selection of wines designed for each couple, because La Rioja is one of the best wine regions in the world. So, pears in wine for dessert!
The decoration, in tune with the vineyards
On our bride and groom’s big day, innovation and originality flooded the flowers, with a variety of bouquets containing bunches of grapes and elderflower, with maroon and salmon roses, as well as maroon astilbes and white paniculatas, which were accompanied by vine leaves and leaves in white.
The company Flores para Venus was in charge of the elaboration of the bouquets and the complete assembly of the tables, leaving a spectacular result, combining the flowers with the tableware and the small decoration, which was rented from Mesa Presidencial.
This company has chairs, tables, armchairs, carpets… as well as the most elegant tableware to decorate the event with coloured glasses, under plates, golden cutlery… and small decorations such as baskets, candle-holders, damajuanas, lanterns…
For Andrea and Kique’s big day, a gold chiavari chair was selected for both the ceremony and the banquet, decorated with pink fabrics to match the bride’s veil, creating a sophisticated and delicate atmosphere.
The tables were also decorated with a sandy grey under plate, gold rosé cutlery, striped carved glasses and a pink fabric like the one on the chairs as a napkin.
The centrepieces were full of candelabras, candles, golden baskets with natural fruit, glass bowls… the essence of wine was never lost!
Personalised invitations
Israel, Sonia and Carlos, the artists of Día de Fiesta, personalise any invitation with the texts you want and with the background of the lining that you like the most, which you can choose from numerous models.
Noelia and Rubén chose the kraft paper envelope with black lining, which also had their initials and floral designs in the tones of the wedding flowers, while the invitation was classic, in white, but with the same colours and floral motifs as the rest of the decoration.
Stylish in style
The bride walked around the palace in a dress by the firm Novias Por Siempre Jamás, from which she selected a dress that left everyone speechless.
The mermaid cut dress was made up of a large train, crepes and chiffon. The skirt was fitted to the body with crystal on the chest, deep-plunge neckline and V-back with lace and chiffon draping. The same blondes could be seen on the sleeves.
Carla Salgado, professional bridal make-up artist, always has the latest trends and techniques in mind to make you look radiant and that is what she did for this bride: bronze shadows and un labial teja that resulted in the most natural make-up.
As for the bride’s hairstyle, Noelia opted for a half up-do with waves that she then decided to finish by letting her hair down, two looks in one! Both were created by Zen Estilismo, which has an impressive quality of products and professionalism in its team, always managing to create a relaxing atmosphere that makes you forget about everything and enjoy this unique moment.
The groom was simple yet elegant, with a black suit jacket, white shirt and maroon tie, which he decided to decorate with a brooch on the lapel of the jacket to match the rest of the flowers of the decoration.
