La Bureba, in Burgos
This is one of the best Spanish rural areas in which you can take the best photos, walk along its tracks and sit down amongst the flowers when they are in full bloom.
In August you can make the most of the look-out points and hills that allow you to view this yellow paradise, La Bureba, under the sun. Perhaps the best ones in the area are those that have views of both Briviesca and Poza de la Sal.
– Finca Santa Eufemia: This country home located in an environment that looks just like Tuscany has three large halls, a spectacular garden of luscious trees in which you can set up a marquee and an old nunnery which has a fully preserved roman church. Consequently, you can hold a civil ceremony in the garden or a religious one in the church of Santa Eufemia de Cozollos.
Cardejón en la Comarca de Campo de Gómara, en Soria
One of the best places to see flowering sunflowers is Los Altos Campos de Gómara, which occupy up to 1050 hectares and is covered in sunflowers that dance in the summer breeze.
In these unknown fields in Soria you can find plenty of trails that will enable you to take the best fairy-tale photos.
– Hotel Aire de Bardenas: This hotel, situated in the middle of a wheat field is completely immersed in nature and isolated from any noise. A hotel with a unique design, they allow spectacular weddings to be held in their outdoor spaces accompanied by excellent food in its two restaurants.
Antequera, in Málaga
The most famous sunflower fields in Malaga are found in the town of Antequera and are very easy to access so that everyone can enjoy the yellow paradise, both when the sunflowers are in full bloom and when they have just started to grow! This would be an unforgettable location for the most natural wedding.
– Cortijo Sabila: This country house, restored as a boutique hotel, has eight large rooms with sensational mountain views, seven gardens with an extraordinary pool, jacuzzi, four dining areas and its own kitchen that serves dishes with fresh local ingredients.
Carmona, in Seville
This is one of the most famous sunflower fields in the country! It stretches to a total of 30,000 hectares and so has an extremely high yield.
It is a beautiful sight to see how this flower can grow and turn to find the sun’s rays, as well as blend in with the sunset with its yellow colours as a beautiful backdrop.
– Hacienda de Orán: In this venue that dates back to the 17th century they used to make oil. Nowadays, it has been transformed with large halls, majestic gardens and Andalusian courtyards. Furthermore, it has a rural hotel where you could stay for your wedding night.
