The world of events and, especially, of weddings, has been largely improving over the last years, alongside with the bands that will play some music at your wedding.

Nowadays we could leave behind those same old songs heard over and over at the wedding, tracks and typical dances which seem to be essential for any kind of event, but which also lack originality and charisma.

Luckily, at the moment, we have bands like The Hot Tubes, formed by great professional musicians and amazing singers who are able to create a electrifying atmosphere, full of energy for an unforgettable day, that of your wedding.

With a repertory of over 200 rock and pop tunes from the 70s, 80s and 90s, The Hot Tubes is the perfect cover band to surprise and move your guests while giving that special touch to your big day.

We approach the studio where this band meets to rehearse their fantastic covers.

From the door, we can hear an impressive voice giving life to a well-known theme of the best English rock. Across the hall, tuning their instruments, several musicians are warming up playing tunes that sound also very familiar to us, a great success of a Spanish pop group that takes us back to our youth.

At first sight they sound great, and we haven’t even started our interview …

We’re eager to ask this cover band from Madrid about all the magic and emotions we can add to our special event.

-Good morning… You’re so good! Spectacular I must say…

-Good morning, you’ve come at the right, we’re starting rehearsing… any special request?

-Any song of your repertory would be just fine…Thanks!

After having enjoyed a great cover and with a definitely lighter spirit, we move forward to know a bit more about The Hot Tubes.

-I’ve understood that each of you comes from a different band. How and when were Tengo The Hot Tubes born? How did it start?

– Well, look…my brother (Juan Serrano) and I (Javier Serrano) we started when we were children to sing acappella until we started forming bands of different genres.

-And from there onwards, until this very band was born…and, tell us, why The Hot Tubes? Where does this name come from and what does it mean to you?

– We proposed several and this was the most voted. The Hot Tubes is the name of the guitar amplifier valves that give it that characteristic warm and smooth sound. The authentic sound of rock, far from the cold one of transistors used mainly for orchestrated music.

– That’s the right name then! Let’s talk about your music, you do covers of different bands in both English and Spanish, right?

– Yes, exactly.

-And, whom is your music for? Do you have any specific target?

– Everyone, actually! Making a lot of different genres, our music is able to reach even those who listen only to Reggaeton…

Most of our audience is between 40 and 70 years old but I can proudly say that we like all ages.

– That’s fantastic, no wonder. Hence you’ve so much work to do. You play in theaters and also at all kinds of events … Tell us, what events do you usually work at?

– Basically at all kinds: Corporate events, weddings, village festivals, presentation of cars of the best brands in the world, birthdays, etc.

We also participated in the Moto GP celebrations for the Marc Márquez team 6 years ago.

– Not bad at all … Focusing on weddings, what do the clients usually request? Do you have fix repertoires, or can the couple choose their list of songs?

– The bride and groom choose from our set list 2020 including more than 200 themes, always according to their taste.

-Any curious theme that you have been requested or anecdote worth sharing with us?

– Do ballads of Bon Jovi, Aerosmith and Bryan Adams during a ceremony in the Cathedral of Valladolid between sermon and sermon of the priest.

-Interesting and, of course, pretty original … It would be beautiful, for sure. I have heard that you also interact with the audience or guests, how do you make them participate?

-We know very well to differentiate between the crowd at a show and a wedding.

At the closest weddings or events, our priority is make the people participate with us from the very first minute and to feel part of the show. The singer moves among the people, inviting them to sing and, sometimes, to go on stage.

– We won’t surely miss the next one, it sounds fantastic! an important question now … How and how in advance should the bride and groom contact you to play at their wedding?

– Well, we advice one year in advance, since we take part in roughly more than 150 events per year. Fridays and Saturdays are the most demanded days, of course …

Even so, we can have availability since THE HOT TUBES is a guarantee seal and we have triplicate rehearsing, since we have a great team of musicians who have been part or still play in Burning, The Refrescos, The Locos, Tequila, Mamá Ladilla, Ga- raje Jack, Vikxie, Vocal Factory, Coque Malla, Alejo Stevel, Neon Delta, Antonio Flores, Manolo Tena, Ska-P , etc….

–Interesting list…not bad at all.

If you had to choose one band for the ceremony… which would it be? And for an unforgettable grand finale?

– Each event and each couple is like a world, and has got a song that defines them at best or which is more in line with their personality; what I can tell you then is that, for any kind of event, THE HOT TUBES are the best option, no doubts about it. We have formations from eight to one musician, trained in both electric and acoustic genres. The choice of the them is completely on the clients.

-And, to begin with… tell us, in which way The Hot Tubes are different from other party bands?

-Apart from having ones of the best musicians in Spain, THE HOT TUBES is a band that has and transmits magic. It easily connects with the audience and catches even those who only like mainstream and commercial music. At weddings where in theory they only want a DJ and we are the groom’s friends, people don’t let us close the show and sometimes the DJ doesn’t get to play a single song.

–Absolutely! I told you we’ve finished but, honestly, we have one more question for you…would you be so kind and play another one of those incredible versions?

-For sure, this is only for you, hoping that you’ll like it …
