Anita and Alexey are a lovely Russian couple who adore the Canary Islands. They love this destination so much that they make it a point to visit the Canary Islands every winter.
It was only natural that when they decided to get married, they chose the Canary Islands as the location of choice. They chose the island of Tenerife in particular, which is known for its spectacular landscape, beautiful beaches, and excellent warm climate.
Since Anita started planning the wedding, she was sure that she wanted hers to be colorful. This is why when she and her fiancé turned over the wedding planning to us, we thought that a wedding overlooking the sea would be perfect for them, complemented by a theme using bright hues such as green, blue, and yellow.
With these things in mind, we suggested the Ritz-Carlton Abama in Tenerife as the ideal reception venue. We thought that the hotel was suited for the couple’s needs for many reasons: first, it was located in the quiet enclave of Guía de Isora, which is a stunning spot surrounded by a colorful landscape which makes the hotel Abama one of the most beautiful luxury resorts in all of the Canary Islands. Second, we could use vivid colors in design and décor to create an unforgettable wedding for the bride and groom. Third, the hotel is equipped with several terraces, gardens, and a sea view that will complement the décor. Lastly, the hotel has well-appointed rooms to accommodate the guests for a destination wedding.
Anita, the bride, already advised all her guests about her preferred dress code, which isn’t strict; she only wanted everyone to use colorful outfits. Following her cue, we also made the invitations colorful as well as the accessories that the guests would be wearing on the day of the ceremony: a flower for the women, and bow ties for the men.
Anita and Alexey decwedding postided to get married in February, which is supposed to be a sunny time of the year in Tenerife. However, two days before the wedding, the rain began to pour. As precautions, we considered moving the wedding ceremony inside the hotel, but the couple were so lucky because on the rain had stopped just in time for the wedding day. We went with the original plan; to hold the weddings in the beautiful outdoors. By morning of the wedding day, we began decorating, placing flowers throughout the venue, and placing various installments close to the sea.
The wind suddenly began to grow stronger. Everything we had installed near the sea began to get wet, and the flowers started to wilt. We immediately moved everything to the lookout point, because a view of the sea was extremely important for the bride and groom.
Anita and Alexey arrived at the ceremony in a stunning convertible car. There was a large fog in the venue, which added to the “wow” effect of the entire location and everyone loved it. After the beautiful ceremony had taken place, everyone started to celebrate the Russian way. One of the highlights was the guest appearance of a famous Russian actor, who arrived to congratulate the newlyweds. We also organized several fun games for the couple to enjoy with the guests. Eventually, the celebration ended late in the night with karaoke, which is one of the bride’s favorite activities.
Despite the drawbacks we faced for this wedding, we were successfully able to pull it off quickly and efficiently. Anita and Alexey enjoyed their wedding so much, and they thanked us profusely for all of our hard work.
