With a lot of personality, very crazy and full to the brim, this is how was the wedding in Gandía of Gara Sevilla, a young influencer and Adrián Marco, the Valencian she met in Mediterranean waters.
The wedding was held on October 22, 2022, in the city of Gandía, a place that brought them together and for which they feel great devotion. “It couldn’t be anywhere else but Gandía, this place means a lot to us”.
When they had made the decision to say “I do”, they already had many things clear, that “it would be in Gandía, that it would be in a beautiful monastery, that I would get married in pants and that the photographs would be the work of Silvia Sánchez and the video of Cayuela”, the bride tells us.
And as we have been amazed after knowing this wedding in Gandía, here we tell you in detail how was this wedding in style that has given much to talk about and that surely will continue to do so, because it has already become one of the best weddings celebrated in the area.
It was a movie!
A wedding planner at the height of great professionals
A must for today’s protagonist was to organize her own wedding, and as a bridal journalist she had soaked in countless weddings in which she had taken over the years countless ideas. “Organizing a wedding is no easy task, especially when you are an extremely perfectionist and demanding person,” the bride tells us.
A year and a half was what it took her to put all the preparations in place, because as she herself tells us, she was in charge, with the help of her partner, of “looking for the best professionals, the best budgets and thinking of a lot of details that would make a special and unique wedding”.
Undoubtedly, a great work of dedication and effort that resulted in a wedding as spectacular as this one. Everything went perfectly and both guests and onlookers were impressed.
Even so, Gara wanted to have a coordinator for her wedding day in Gandía so she could enjoy the big day while everything went as she had organized it. For this she thought of Lola, from One Day by Lola, who crossed the whole country to help what has already become her friend.
For Gara, her coordinator was her right hand at all times, she found the security and tranquility of knowing that everything would go well, calming nerves and being aware of everything. “If I were to get married again, she would be the first person I would contact,” the bride assures us. And she managed to make everything happen flawlessly.
The wedding venue, a mountain monastery
The monastery of Sant Jeroni de Cotalba was something that was clear when they knew they were going to get married, and no wonder, since it is located in a privileged natural environment and is declared of Cultural Interest.
The guests and the couple enjoyed a day among sculptures, paintings, fountains and dreamlike spaces such as the orange tree courtyard, impressive romantic gardens with a pond and a Gothic aqueduct that surrounds it, a large entrance courtyard with a Gothic tower and incredible cloisters with ribbed vaults.
A rebellious bride, different and with a lot of personality.
The bride always had it clear: “The day I get married it will be with a white jacket suit. Who says that a bride has to wear a long white princess dress? I’m not a princess, I’m more like the warrior of the fairy tale”, Gara told us.
And so it was, after searching among different designers of custom-made and exclusively designed wedding dresses, she opted for Alma Aguilar, and together they made her dream come true. “From the first video call with Alma I felt a special connection, I knew she was the right person and that our meeting was not a coincidence,” says the bride.
A jacket and corset suit with a lot of personality.
The suit was composed of wide-legged pants with a side slit on the leg that revealed her golden heeled ankle boots. On top they designed a tight corset that closed in a row of buttons and whose straps were full of ostrich feathers. Over the corset, a long suit jacket with shiny lapels and where the sleeve cuffs were also loaded with ostrich feathers. A real style hit!
A glamorous pamela
Amal Clooney, Miriam Giovanelli and Bianca Jagger were her inspiration when it came to choosing her headdress. She chose the designer Betto García to make the headdress, to whom she told all the details of how she imagined her big day so that he could transform it into reality: “With a pamela full of ostrich feathers and a veil of lattice”, the veil in trend in the bridal world.
Details that completed the look
As for the makeup, Gala Philippe was in charge of the makeup, inspired by one of Gigi Hadid’s looks and as for the jewelry, the influencer opted for different golden pieces by Maria Dosaes and Laety.
Laety was also the one in charge of elaborating a cover-up that Gara wore at the banquet after taking off her pamela, and Nia Tocados was the artist who created a large ostrich feather headband that the bride wanted for the moment of the party.
Undoubtedly, a different look but full of class and elegance.
For the preparation, Gara did not want to count on anyone other than her best friends, who between beers and tears of emotion dedicated a few words to her.
The groom’s preparation with poker game included
For the occasion, Adrian opted for a design of the Valencian tailoring Martinez Mor. The suit consisted of pants with jacket and vest, made of a dark green checkered fabric with blue details.
As a detail, the back of the vest and the lining of the jacket were made of a sepia-toned fabric that perfectly represented his love for the world of motorcycles and what unites him so much to his father, who accompanied him in this special moment.
After that, and until the bride finished her preparation, the groom took a bucket full of ice and beer, and his friends were already waiting for him with a poker game about to start. Why not?
Lemonade bar for the wait
The guests arrived at the venue in two buses that the couple had prepared so that everyone could get to the venue easily and comfortably.
Upon arrival, they were able to enjoy refreshing lemonades to make the wait for the beginning of the ceremony much more enjoyable, this was taken care of by the El Poblet catering company.
A first look and a motorcycle entrance to the altar
And as the bride and groom said, “the rules and protocol are to be skipped, weddings are changing, who says that the couple can not see each other before, why should there be godfathers or godmothers? And that’s what the couple did, meet alone to the rhythm of Be My Baby, by The Ronettes before heading to the ceremony.
The groom dreamed of arriving at the altar on his wedding day on his motorcycle, and that’s what they did, arriving to the rhythm of Måneskin’s Beggin, giving gas to the bike and appearing in a white smoke.
A moment that caused a great furor among all the attendees!
The decoration of this wedding in Gandía, a dream come true.
Flowers in orange tones
At the ceremony, cocktail and banquet the floral decoration was composed of many green leaves accompanied by flowers in orange and nude tones, all the work of Carla de L’Arbre Flors.
Round and scissor tables full of vegetation.
One of the spaces that caused the greatest sensation was the banquet, as it was out of the ordinary by having a presidential table in the shape of a U, with the long tables being the two arms of the U. The bride and groom were accompanied by their closest friends during the dinner.
The decoration of the tables was a dream, and is that two crossed wood in the form of scissors were on the tables full of vegetation, these also had long table runners with flowers and candlesticks. On the other hand, the round tables mixed plain tablecloths with yellow floral print tablecloths.
All the tables had golden cutlery, which gave a touch of glamour and sophistication to the banquet.
Chandeliers over the tables
The lighting by Grupo Altius was the cherry on top of the decoration of the event. Chandeliers hung from each and every one of the tables, giving the banquet warmth and style.
A very “jodón” seating plan
To the rhythm of the live saxophonist and the bride and groom dancing Let’s Twist Again, by Chubby Checker, the guests were able to find their place for the banquet in what was an unconventional seating plan, and this was formed by photos of all attendees in which, precisely, did not come out with their best face: photos of adolescence, sleeping, drunk, with faces of circumstance ….
Undoubtedly a most original and innovative seating, and only suitable for the most fun guests!
Fire and high quality catering
At the entrance to the banquet, the bride and groom had cold fire and a lot of fire sparklers that the guests held high and that illuminated the gardens to the rhythm of L’Altra Dimensione, by Måneskin.
In addition, the bride and groom were clear that their wedding experience also had to be remembered by the flavors and aromas of a tasting menu, which is why they relied on a fine dining caterer.
Tomás Arribas, Quique Dacosta’s mentor, is the founder of El Poblet catering. His team carried out the banquet of this wedding in Gandía in which ingredients such as truffle, foie gras, Breton cookie, boletus, red-eye poultry gravy and red fruit croustillant were the main protagonists.
A “festiboda” full of wildlife
Bracelets in the purest festival style
The influencer also designed fabric bracelets that read “Wedding Festival, welcome to the jungle” and distributed them among the guests under the slogan “open bar for the whole night”. The company in charge of making them was Pulseras Express.
Guests camouflaged under animal heads
After dessert, the bride and groom randomly chose a bunch of friends to wear a big animal head, their mission was to lead the rest of the guests to the party area. To the beat of jungle sounds, drums, the song “Welcome To The Jungle” by Guns N’ Roses and CO2 guns, the bride and groom kicked off the party.
The animal heads, by Ivy Paper Art, were cut out, assembled and glued by the couple, “with a lot of patience”.
Stilt walkers with fire among the guests
To the rhythm of the songs and lots of vegetation, the stilt walkers with fire mingled among the people to animate, even more if possible, the whole party. The stilt walkers were in charge of the company Espectacles David.
A mechanical bull that unleashed a few laughs.
Yes, this wedding in Gandia full of surprises could not miss a mechanical bull for everyone to have a great time, yes: with a few drinks too many, some of them lasted less than expected and some other brave people got on standing up. The bull was in charge of the company Espectáculos Dani.
Somos Gente de Bien were in charge of the sound, the lighting and the CO2 guns, while the DJ who played the best tracks was Michael G, a young promise who fascinated everyone!
The bachelors, in search and capture
The couple also wanted to play matchmaker at their wedding in Gandía, so in the bathrooms of the monastery they put up posters with photos of the guests who were single at the wedding. They say that from one wedding comes another! So under the heading “Warning, singles in freedom”, the most daring were able to search through the crowd for the one who could be their better half.
Trendy photocall
No more poses with lots of accessories, now the photocalls that are in trend are the most stylish, and this is the type of photocall that the influencer placed at her wedding in Gandía:
A chester sofa with small tables, greenery and flowers, a neon with the phrase “Let ‘s get fucking married”, a black grille that held the neon and a lot of infinity bulbs that illuminated the space.
A recena that caused a sensation
After many emotions and a lot of perreo, it was time to fill the stomachs again, for this the couple had a foodtruck that was lit at 3 am to distribute hot dogs with different sauces, crispy onions and pickles to the guests. The foodtruck was from Danra Events.
But that’s not all, the dinner could not miss the sweet part, so Gara, as a good lover of churros with chocolate, assembled and painted a wooden cart to be filled with one of her favorite sweets on the big day. The mythical Churrería del Puerto took care of it.
The most curious thing is that the influencer wanted to customize every last detail and both in the chocolate glasses and in the containers of the dogs they placed personalized stickers with the name of the couple, the date of the wedding in Gandía and a funny gorilla face.
Documentary photography and an exciting film
One of the things that the bride had clear after having worked as a wedding editor, and having seen countless reports to other couples, is that Silvia Sanchez would be the one behind the lens on her wedding day, capturing the best moments with her documentary photography.
On the other hand, as Gara tells us “only Santi Cayuela could be the videographer, I followed his work for a long time and seeing his films and thinking that I could also be in one of them was exciting, and the emotion overflows in each of his scenes”.
Gara also stated that “in the end, the memories you have for life are the photos and videos, so investing in this area was paramount for us, because it is something you will see throughout your life”.
There are weddings and weddings, but without a doubt this wedding in Gandía took the cake. It left everyone speechless and that is why there are already many who have already asked him to organize their wedding, and normal after seeing this wedding in Gandía!
Meanwhile, this fills us with pride to hear the words of the bride: “it was thanks to the Perfect Venue blog and the work of Weddings and Events by Natalia Ortiz that I put together this wedding, you were a great inspiration”.
