Saying “I do” in a country house in Tarragona
L’Avellana makes up an idyllic venue for any wedding. This country house in Tarragona is surrounded by numerous hectares of hazelnut trees and forests.
The white and blue Mediterranean dominates the front of this historic house, relying on its combination of tradition and modernity.
Its different spaces and corners are very charming, among which the large round square is one of the highlights, located in front of the main building that preserves its original paving, dating from the year 1736 and which was formerly the place where hazelnuts were harvested.
Its 450 m² beautiful square is wonderful to celebrate a wedding surrounded by centenary olive trees and to enjoy the most Mediterranean scenery.
The Jardin de la Abuela is another of our favourite corners of L’Avellana, because this charming private garden is surrounded by an old stone wall and decorated with flowers and aromatic herbs.
Not to mention the space that our couple also were able to enjoy, the corner of the Virgin, which is found under the shade of banana trees and offers wonderful views of the forest.

Magical decor everywhere
We loved the very simple and yet charming decoration of this wedding!
The altar, very moderate, was situated facing the white wall of the house, made up of various wine leaves and flowers and blue iron stool with a white cushion and a maroon blanket for the couple. In the venue, several wooden benches were set up for the guests – a dreamlike outdoor ceremony!
When it was time for a cocktail, everyone was able to enjoy sumptuous drinks amongst wine barrels as tables, floral centrepieces everywhere, stools, parasols… A perfect setting for tasting beer that guests could serve themselves from taps!
For the banquet, also outside, long wooden tables were set up with table runners with green leaves and white flowers from Go Floral & Violeta Gladstone, brown napkins, white plates, purple cups, clear crystal glasses, and a huge amount of candles giving light and romance together with light garlands that covered the venue.
The atmosphere of this rustic wedding in L’Avellana had a large number of razor clams, prawns, clams and shrimps arranged on giant forged buckets, as well as the countless desserts in the corner full of macaroons, cakes, mousses, etc., which were certainly a great accompaniment to the tasting.
A tasty and tropical food truck
A flashy food truck with a fun flowery pattern waited to receive the guests for the tasting of tasty mojitos served there. Something that everyone loved!
It doesn’t have to be food, the caravan is perfect to place drinks such as milkshakes, vermouths, cocktails, mojitos, smoothies, Cuba Libres… A ‘proper’ drink corner! Put a food truck at your wedding! This is everything you need to know when hiring a food truck for your wedding.
A bride and groom amongst horses
In the country house in L’Avellana, this horse-loving couple was also able to have a unique wedding feature with moving, dynamic, spontaneous and very expressive photos with these elegant animals.

Stylings to match
For their rustic wedding in L’Avellana, the bride shone in a straight cut dress full of plumeti tulle, with an open back and borders of flowers at the top of the dress, turning everyone’s heads! The groom could not avoid his emotions anymore after seeing her appearing, looking so radiant.
For footwear she opted for a pair of beautiful white heeled sandals and to complement the look she chose to wear her blonde hair down with waves and accompany it with a simple and natural make-up.
On the other hand, the groom opted for a navy blue suit with a hint of grey for his big day. He paired it with a white shirt, a white handkerchief on his jacket and brown details such as the buttons on the sleeves to match the suede Oxford shoes in the same shade.
