XIII century Catalan house

History

This historic Franciscan monastery was built on a XIII century hermitage and was founded in 1690 by Francisco de Bournonville. In the XVIII century it was restored and later turned into a typical Catalan farmhouse. It is located 600 meters high in the Guilleries mountain range and in front of the Montseny natural park, in Girona, Catalonia.

Its Church is a simple but very charming building, 28.20m wide, and 3.60m deep, with a semicircular apse, large stone walls and two beautiful chapels in both sides.

Around the cloister there were the cells of the monks, so it is a place full history in every corner, perfect for very special celebrations.

The Church room has a capacity for about 180 guests seated with round tables and up to 200 with imperial ones. Its multi-purpose room os perfect to organize the wedding party and the chill-out area. In addition, thanks to its professional kitchen, you can hire the catering you like the most.

Capacity: 200 pax
Accommodation: 26 pax in 6 spaces that have 10 double and triple rooms. The Monastery has 2 apartments equipped with kitchens, bathrooms, living room and kitchen.
Price:

• 1800€ in mid season (May, June and September), 4600€ in high season (July and August) 7 days / 6 nights, 1500€ low season (rest of the year). Note: The rent is exclusive and must be at least two nights.
• Rent the 26 accommodation places: 700€ / night from Monday to Friday (minimum two nights). The weekend price is 825€ / night on the weekend (minimum two nights).

How is payment made? On the day of the celebration the guests must pay an amount for the use of the facilities. The price depends on the number of people and varies from 20 to 45€. The rental conditions are: payment of a 50% as a reservation, 25% one month before the celebration and the remaining amount with the extra expenses on the day of departure. You have to add 120€ cleaning (0.90€ adult / night). The 500€ deposit will be returned if there are no damages.

The house have a catering but there is no exclusivity. The use of the kitchen by external companies has a Canon price depending on the number of guests.
