When thinking of Mallorca geographically, the north and south generally have the largest beaches, due to the width of the island, whereas the east has small secret coves and the west has a mountainous terrain. Therefore, the best places to look are north, south and east Mallorca.

The best beaches in Mallorca: 

Portals Nous Beach

Near Puerto Portals marina you can find Portals Nous Beach. The bay area has crystal clear waters and is the perfect place to swim. Furthermore, there are also many options to take part in water sports, from hiring pedalos and learning how to paddleboard to even having a go at jet skiing at the marina.

Cala Formentor

If you travel to the north of Mallorca you will find Cala Formentor Beach, one of the most famous in Mallorca with 1km of sand. The beach’s location is incredible, surrounded by plants and from the beach you can even see the bay of Pollença! The only real negative is that it is quite narrow, so it is not ideal for children to play and make full use of being on the beach.

Camp de Mar Beach

Located near to Andratx is Camp de Mar Beach, a beach with beautiful golden sand and sparkly water. If you want to do something extra special then you can even dine at the restaurant at the end of a bridge in the sea.

Less busy beaches in Mallorca

S’Amarador Beach & Cala Mondragó
